The Summer Food Service Program

The Summer Food Service Program is what SFSP connotes. Beginning in the summer of 2016, The Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church became a sponsor- committed to combating childhood hunger by providing free nutritious meals to youth from 4 years to 18 years old during the summer months when schools are not in session. During year one meals were provided to 4 sites, in subsequent years, the number of sites and the number of meals provided increased to the extent that 20 sites were served during summer 2019. Through our efforts, we have prepared, delivered and  served over 20,000 meals over the course of the last 4 years. Not only were we able to provide meals to young people through this program; we were also able to provide employment to community members, congregants and youth in our community.
